We were thoroughly impressed with this powerful and well-made lopper in our real-life tests and it's now one of our favorite tools. We sliced through green and dead 1"-diameter branches without straining ourselves or the tool and the telescoping handles are a big plus in our book - with the handles extended we were able to prune branches at 10-foot height without using a ladder. Made of strong steel-tube, the handles extend an extra 14" with a quick twist-of-the-wrist and lock in place - longer handles not only let you reach higher but produce a significant work advantage. But, the ratcheting jaw is what really caught our attention; it automatically 'steps' the cutting action so rather than straining to cut completely through thick stock it distributes your effort over 2 or 3 easy open-close motions. We really think you'll be amazed at how much easier and faster this tool operates. Hardened and tempered steel blade ground to razor-edge; easy to re-sharpen or replace. An outstanding value in a well-built and designed tool with manufacturer's lifetime warranty.
